First visiting student arrives

The first student to come to Oxford under the auspices of OPP's visiting student scheme arrives in the UK today. Anna (Huixian) Sun, an International Business student at Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, will spend Michaelmas Term at Worcester College as a student of PPE. She has arrived a month before the beginning of term in order to take part in the September Seminar on Classics and English literature.

Under the scheme, Oxford Prospects Programmes collaborates with a number of Oxford University colleges on their visiting student programmes by introducing host colleges to excellent Chinese universities, shortlisting Chinese applicants and dealing with other administrative matters. This collaboration has allowed Chinese visiting students to be admitted to several Oxford colleges for the first time.
